Contemporary territories are highly complex systems, consisting of the overlapping of numerous factors (actors, uses, practices, histories, rules, environmental conditions, infrastructural constraints and available resources). Today, implementing a land transformation project means systematizing this complexity into an effective and innovative strategy, through a new approach to design that is data-driven and can be monitored and evaluated.

Whether it is for a green plan, the redevelopment of an industrial district or the restoration of an ecosystem, qualitative and quantitative data are are key assets that need to be collected on a specific territory and organised into a comprehensible set of information, so that they can be easily used by every stakeholder involved in the process to generate greater impact.

Through a step-by-step process, we help public administrations and private landowners to promote and develop innovative processes for long-term land transformation.

Thanks to a multidisciplinary scientific approach and a wide range of activities (iterative field surveys, research and synthesis, censuses, monitoring, specific and experimental analyses), we can “read” and understand a territory or a single site in depth, producing documents and sets of information (Baseline) that frame problems and opportunities, informing planning, design and communication.

Once the Baseline has been defined, we work together with all stakeholders involved in the process to develop a shared vision of strategy/master plan for the implementation of complex and innovative projects.
